"There is no future. There's no such thing. It doesn't exist." - Bill Hicks
Our ability to predict the future is a useful tool. However, we should not let our hopes and fears of the future, or the success of our genetic line, cloud our judgement of the present.
If you are someone who cares about the people and their planet after you have gone, you should consider their perception of how you lived your life. Hitler and Osama won't feature on our grandchildrens' most hated list. When they are living in the searing deserts of the future, their children coughing up the noxious gases that had spewed from our exaust pipes and the fall-out from when the poor fought back with bombs instead of banners. If they have schools, the young will be told how their forefathers watched the world die around them while they drank beer & coffee, got fat or went to the gym. We are the Millenium Generation and we are making history.
