Lost currently has
over 400,000 players from almost every country on Earth. The aim of the
game is to create the largest social network of people connected to
yourself.
When you join you will be given a unique web address that you use to
invite new players by writing it somewhere in the real world or on the
internet. Anyone who accepts your invitation joins the game as one of
your "children". Whoever has the biggest Lost "family" when there are 7
million players wins $5000.
If no one accepts any of your invitations for 30 days, you lose. If any of your children (people who accepted your invitation) lose, then you lose any points that you got when they joined. This means that you don't get any points for inviting people who don't keep inviting people themselves.
The best strategy is to invite people who will keep playing.

More tips for playing Lost
- Most
players in the top ten have got their points by inviting people in
video comment boxes on sites like YouTube and MySpace.
- There is no point in tricking people into accepting your invitation.
If they don't play the game then you will lose those points in 30 days.
- Tell people what the invitation is for and try to encourage them to
keep playing. Try to target the kind of people who are going to enjoy
playing.
Congratulations to Isaiah Lemmon who won a Game T-Shirt and a legendary Game Award for being the first of our children to make it into the LOST top ten.
