Place a pencil tip-down on a sheet of paper. By pressing down on the pencil and tilting it, it will flick out leaving a line on the paper. Some people choose to use their palm, others, their fingertip. It is possible to move the pencil in a semi-controlled way for a brief time before it flicks. This action and the resulting line can be used in many types of games, the following are only guidelines.

Racing: A racetrack is drawn on the page and players take turns to 'flick' their way around the course without hitting the edge.

War: A landscape (or sea/air/space-scape) is drawn on the page. Players then take turns to draw in a predetermined number of troops. Once troops have been added, players take turns to move troops, or shoot enemies, using the 'flick' method. Different troops can use different numbers of 'flicks' for movement and range.
